Grrr!
I'm really frustrated with this essay.
I just don't get how this is supposed to be different than a persuasive essay.
I know we talked about it but it still doesn't make sense.
I don't understand the format.
And I thought Stariha was gonna put Jake's essay up there as a student example?
Hmmm?
I can't find it.
And I'm trying to do research and I'm finding a lot of information and I don't know what to use or if it even goes with my topic or what.

Yeah I was really hoping to look at Jake's essay too :( I think the difference of Persuasive and Argument is that Persuasive says "I think poppy seed muffins are the shiznits because I think they're tasty" and Argument says "Poppy seed muffins are the shiznits because the professor of Culinary arts at Penn State says they're tasty." At least that was my take on the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteplus guys, we can all take a deep breath because it is just the rough draft :) no worries, you have time to revise. But I agree, I think that argument is more of making statements and having facts to back it up... ya know?
