MLA

Mrs. Stariha,

I just wanted you to know that even when I use easybib and all that jazz...I still can't get my sources to be in the correct MLA formatting. I don't really know what else to do so I am going to try my best and turn it in as it is done. I should have figured it out earlier but yeah... I just wanted to let you know. hahaha...I figured this was the easiest way.

College English- But What Does it all mean?

Today I discovered why we call it college english. Well perhaps I did not discover it today but simply realized it. You see, we write as much as you would in college yes but we knew that didn't we? The new bit I unearthed was that it also has something to do with conditioning you to stay up far later than suggested, finish papers in a caffeinated crunch, and prioritize between sleep, classes, and social life. It reminds me of a question posed to me by a college friend-

If you had to pick two of the following (and only two) which two would you dedicate your energy to: Homework/Grades, Social Life, Sleep.

In college I'd be more willing to drop the last but in High School I don't think it's fair to have to choose! We're still young (no matter what age I'll be turning) and all three are important! Somehow I'd rather not have to sacrifice one of these elements in High School whether I'm in a class with college in the title or not.

1984

Dear Self, You really need to look at calender before 10:30 on a sunday night, so maybe youd realize there was a quiz tomorrow before it was a little to late..

none the less, I feel like I just realized how crazy 1984 is. Like a good sort of crazy though, like not a "whoa orwell is a wack job!" but more like "whoa, orwell had no life and for sure was that guy who sat in class and stared off into the abyss because he was living in his own world" type of crazy. ha, just kidding, but in all honesty this whole thing got into to some deeeeeeeeeeeep stuff.

Health Care

So first of all I just wanted to say that I think that the group that went on friday did very well. Your presentation was very nice and you presented both sides of the issue fabulously.. :) I feel like health care is an issue that we dont care enough about, because in reality if affects everyone of us, considering we are all humans and at one point or another we are all going to get sick. But personally I feel like universal health care might not be the best option because I feel like we would lack quality care. But that is just me...

did i use that vocab word right?

Alright so if I used the vocab word Digression like .... cellphones are no longer a safty device. Rather a digressioinal tool used to lower an individuals language skills .... would it be right? i cant figure it out!!!

Anti-Essay

I feel like I shouldn't ever write an essay again in my life because it's not only too much work...but I have nothing good to show for it. =/ hahaha...kind of funny but not...

Anyways...

I ate some BBQ chips and pushed some employee's cart down the isle when he walked away today. =) only a foot or so...I felt like a REBEL. hahahhahahhaa

kinda bored.

welll i feel pretty good about the argument essay after all the rough drafts and help. wow i dont know what i would have done with out the rough drafts lol but yeah and uh hopefully i do goood on the quiz tomorrow ... andd happppyyy school night? lol
