Our 2 Min Hate
So I heard the other day that during a campaign gathering the candidate mentioned bombing Iran and the crowd cheered. That made me think back to the 2 minute hate scene in 1984. It made me a little sick. We think our society is so different but it seems like Orwell's predictions aren't as far off as they may seem.

Just think of all the joy and celebration in executing Osama Bin Ladin... fear tactics used by government and media.... loss of privacy... we will see many more connections by the time we are done with the books. Yikes! By the way... the first Hunger Games book reminded me of a twisted Bachelor. Right down to the red velvet couch at the end.
