Service Project
Well after school today I talked to Stariha and she proposed a new service project for our class to do. It would basically be us going to the elementary school and reading bedtime stories to the kids. We would read little kids books to them and teach/stress the value of reading to them. I think it sounds really easy but still a good job. I don't know what people think about this?...... Im just the messenger so feel free to comment.

I like that idea. And I was thinking about this Friday and Saturday [the carnival..]. I don't know if any AYFers thought about that, I mean we are facilitating it and if everyone helped out it'd be cool, but I'm just throwing out ideas.
ReplyDeleteWell if we do it on saturday i can't go because i have a poole function to go to...and its required for me to go. We should probably do this like on a school day this next week because the local elementary schools won't say no to us and there are less sporting events i think during the school week.
ReplyDeleteok so if we do this elementary project will we still be doing the whole bake sale thing? cuz im suppose to bring something in tomorrow and if we dont have to let me know.
ReplyDeleteDon't bring in anything tomorrow Alex... but if you do, I will definitely help you eat it! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that idea, i think doing it during the week would be a good idea because to many people have open houses, work, and sporting events on the weekend...it would be difficult to get everyone together. oh and we should bring snacks!!!
ReplyDeleteI also really like the idea! I really believe that the children are going to have fun and enjoy spending time with high school seniors.
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea!
ReplyDeleteI think this is away we helpout OUR community and future shelby high school students!
