Presentation question

First off, sorry i'm filling up the blog. But.....

Is it better to have more information and less discussion time, or more discussion time and less information.

I've seen both, and well I know we want an equal balance but i'm not so sure that's going to happen. And if it is, how?!!

  1. I really think it depends on the topic and the class' previous knowledge of it. If it's something that people already know quite a bit about and have already formulated opinions then the presentation should mostly be discussion based right? Then if the students really don't know much about it then presenting them with adequate information on it should be the main purpose...I would think...but I'm not the one grading you so I guess that none of what I said above really matters haha

  2. Less information and more discussion. I think if theres background information and enough info so that we get an idea of the topic then the more discussion the better! also, most people have an idea of the topic (besides the electoral vote one, i'm going to need a lot of information on that one!) and discussion is so much funner! thats a good question because the time goes really fast! faster then what i thought!
